This week has been a very busy one! Many voice overs and videos for clients, along with getting marketing done for You Are The Project, and accomplishing the goals I set for myself as well. When I first became an entrepreneur who works from home, there were many things I had to learn to do differently, time management was a big one for me! I greatly minimized the amount of TV I used to watch as I realized that sometimes it can be a distraction. I do however still enjoy movies and TV, but I use my time wisely. Lately I've been stuck on an Australian show I found on Netflix titled Wentworth! My love and I make time at the end of the day to enjoy the series, only after we have completed our work day. Being an entrepreneur takes a LOT of discipline, otherwise a person would fail horribly! The most important key to life is balance, balance in all aspects of your life. You don't want to work too much to the point where you cannot enjoy your free time or don't make free time to enjoy. You also don't want to relax/enjoy so much to the point where you overly indulge as that can be detrimental as well. You also must understand the importance of setting goals and accomplishing them. Be productive, be happy, discipline yourself. An overall balance has to be established and rewards must be put into play so that balance is maintained. Even when you have busy days, weeks, and months, still make time to enjoy yourself. Life is about creating our own happiness, I certainly have made sure I enjoyed myself this week even with all the work I had to do. I also love what I do as an entrepreneur so that makes things even more exciting and joyous! Regardless, work with what you have and create that balance for yourself. Don't aimlessly allow circumstances to dictate your level of happiness, create it for yourself through better time management. Your free time matters!

I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving if you are in the states or I hope you enjoyed another beautiful week if you are not in the states. This blog will be about getting back on track after a break from your daily routine. We all have routines in our lives, some are healthy for us, some not so healthy, but for the healthy ones, getting back in the routine is a MUST! For myself, I work out at the gym 2-3 times a week and I usually eat a healthy crockpot vegetable medley that consists of 12-14 vegetables during the week. Of course on Thanksgiving, I was unable to go to the gym and I was also unable to eat as healthy as I usually would. I must say that I did enjoy some delicious food with my fiance's family, we took a trip to Utah on Thanksgiving, what a delightfully enjoyable day it was! To go off my regular routine was certainly more than worth it and I do not regret any second of it! If you eat healthy, you shouldn't either (1 cheat day is totally fine), but if you always eat crappy food I would say you should work on fixing your daily eating habits for yourself because your body deserves far better. So now that Thanksgiving has passed, with today being Saturday (2 days later) I am finally getting back into my routine. Now I'm not excusing myself for not getting started again sooner, but my Fridays are usually busy with voice overs and the You Are The Project presentation at our office. We also ran out of the medley the day before Thanksgiving, therefore yesterday I purchased the new ingredients: if you are ever looking for affordable priced organic food be sure to hit up Trader Joe's. I will be getting the next batch prepared again today on this beautiful Saturday. I will also be hitting up the gym today as well, then back to normalcy next week. Just sending out some positive vibes for you to get back in the habit of improving your health or if you have yet to do so, sending you encouragement to begin your health journey. May you interrupt the old bad habits and transform them into positive ones. I began doing so 3 years ago, you just have to believe in yourself. Don't fear failure! Keep going! If you'd like the ingredients to the 12-14 vegetable medley, be sure to drop me an email and I will send it over to you. I love sharing knowledge! This vegetable medley is amazing! Since I began eating it and working out, of course, I have lost 25 pounds and been able to keep them off whereas over 95% of diets fail! Trust me, this works. I offer you the ingredients for FREE so why not give it a try? DO IT FOR YOU, I believe in YOU.
Monday seems to be such a dreadful day for people who hate their jobs. Well I say, either quit that job or begin doing things that fuel your passion. This is a part of why I became an entrepreneur, I wanted more out of life! I'm not saying everyone should become an entrepreneur, I am merely stating the fact that so may people end up unhappy working the same job yet not seeing any growth in their happiness level. Life is actually quite easier for someone who works a regular 9-5 job, as being an entrepreneur is really HARD WORK! So for anyone who has a regular job, I would suggest to keep the job but to be flexible and pursue other things, such as nurturing a talent you have. Drawing, singing, dancing, poetry, writing, fishing, find a hobby to take your mind to another level. When or if you find yourself down in the dumps, wondering what life is truly about on another "dreadful Monday", then you must recognize the gift of life and start truly living! We all have a purpose in this world, even though most of us do not recognize it. In speaking from personal experience, in high school I came to that dreadful question about the purpose of life. As time went on, I began to see that life wasn't as hard as I thought it was. It actually is a truly wonderful journey. You will find that there is meaning in any and all occupations too; but if you still don't feel that way even after using your free time to work on something you are passionate about then for sure a career change might be in store. LIVE THE LIFE YOU LOVE or change your mindset! Don't get stuck just complaining about life, do something to make it better for yourself. Otherwise you risk your happiness, YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE. I actually sincerely enjoy Mondays, it is the beginning of another busy day to work on my business. Today, I have several voice overs, a few videos for clients, the presentation for our business You Are The Project and then the live stream of the lesson for our members online. Even though I won't get it all done today, I still have tomorrow to look forward to completing it all. I refuse to complain about something that I did not have the privilege of being able to do years ago. I smile, thank God for another busy Monday and go about my day. Perception is everything.
On the weekend, I try to enjoy as much as possible and since I set my own schedule and work from home most of the time I am able to do so. I will say though that today I had an edit for a client and a few lines of script for the newest character I am voicing. Her name is KERA, she is 8 years old, and she loves her natural hair! Very fitting since I also love my natural hair. I do enjoy voicing a character who is about empowering young girls to embrace their own natural beauty. I wish a character like her had been around when I was a child, my natural hair journey would have started a lot sooner! Regardless, I truly appreciate the honor of being able to voice such a remarkable character. Even with today being the weekend and me feeling like I shouldn't be working, I had no problem whatsoever taking the time to voice such a magnificent little girl today. Throughout the week I am usually working on voice overs or videos for clients or my business You Are The Project, so I try to relax on the weekend and be myself. One of the things I enjoy is music, it fuels my soul. One of my favorite genres is rap music and I recorded myself this week busting out one of my favorite rap songs: Drop the World by Lil Wayne ft Eminem. Be for warned, these lyrics are not for your mother or grandmother. I feel we can get inspiration from anywhere, rap music just so happens to be one of the things that provides me inspiration. I am unveiling this video here on my blog, on the weekend, as rapping is something that I enjoy and I plan on using this talent for good in our world. These lyrics are not mine, they are Eminem's, I'm a bit more on the softer side, but everyone has that rawness within them. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe to my YouTube channel, there will be much more to come! Enjoy! So in our world most people are working jobs with their heads down in the daily grind with seemingly nothing to look forward to. I call this being trapped in the Matrix. Being asleep, so to speak, to the recognition that we are all our own version of Neo. We are creating the lives we want for ourselves through our daily actions. Which means, if a person isn't actively working on building themselves up to where they want to be, they will continue being stuck in that Matrix. In order for people to "wake up from the Matrix" they need something that triggers this awakening. Something that makes sure they do not go backwards into that dreadful slumber that so many people continue to be in. They need goals to work on, something to seriously look forward to instead of just being in the daily grind of work. I have the solution: YOU ARE THE PROJECT. Why should a person be their own project? Because each individual person matters, everyone's hopes and dreams matter! The problem with that solution is this: as Morpheus said since people have been stuck in the Matrix for so long, many people will fight to stay in the Matrix. They refuse to be awakened. They do not realize how important it is to have short term and long term goals. Having goals to accomplish makes life more worthwhile! Through YOU ARE THE PROJECT everyone awakens to the fact that they are important, that their hopes and dreams are important, that they matter. So you now have the opportunity to awaken from this slumber, if you are one of those people who feels trapped in the Matrix. Now you tell me, which pill will you take? The blue pill where you wake up in your bed and go back to the same old routine as before. Or the red pill where you find out just how deep this rabbit hole goes? YOU ARE THE PROJECT, awaken your abilities. www.youaretheproject.com "Fear is man's chief enslaver, pride his greatest weakness." When all is said and done, what matters in life is the memories you've made, the experiences you've had, the lives you've touched. No one wants to have regrets about what they didn't do, so why does fear exist? Why do so many people allow it to dictate who they become in life or what they do? When you take a look at all the greats who have torn down barriers and broken records to earn the title of the greatest, did they appear to have fear? Did the possibility of failing stop them from reaching for their dreams? Absolutely not. So why allow that to stop you? "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." When I turned 30 this year, I examined my life from a different standpoint. I began to see the big picture, what life is truly about. It isn't about how much money a person makes or how much fame they achieve. It is about going after their hopes and dreams. Pursuing their purpose going full throttle! In recognizing this, my eyes began to open to the fact that I have been doing just that. Often times, I find it hard to give myself credit for accomplishing my dreams or for becoming the woman I am today: someone who is proud of the things I've done and working on becoming a better me daily. At 30, I am a voice over actress, an author, a certified weight loss management coach, and I am currently building up a business with my fiance. I refuse to allow life to pass me by, to seize every moment is my aim! I actively work on my dreams instead of allowing them to continue to be fairy tales hidden from view within my mind. May you begin to do the same, if you are not already doing so. Life is what you make it, you are creating the life you want whether you are doing it actively or passively. Never allow circumstances to control your life, take control! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE.
